Freeware to Normalize Audio Levels in Video Files


Do you often feel upset because your video files are too loud or too quiet? Now, you can have video collections with proper audio volume with BS FAG!

BS FAG will fix audio gain in video files to volume level about 89 dB with clipping prevention. It allows custom volume level and clipping control if preferred. You can perform the whole process manually, but for guys who know very little about audio/video technical things, BS FAG can be a great help.

The utility utilizes two amazing plugins: FFmpeg and mp3gain.

MP3val - free software tool to validate and fix MP3 audio files


If you are downloading music from the Web in descent quantities, you may find that some of the audio files are corrupted. While checking each downloaded file would the best assurance they are fine, you may need more advanced, faster, approach for running such tests.

MP3val is a small, high-speed, free software tool for checking MPEG audio files' integrity. It can be useful for finding corrupted files (e.g. incompletely downloaded, truncated, containing garbage). MP3val is also able to fix most of the problems. Being a multiplatform application, MP3val can be runned both under Windows and under Linux (or BSD).

The most common MPEG audio file type is MPEG 1 Layer III (mp3), but MP3val supports also other MPEG versions and layers. The tool is also aware of the most common types of tags (ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2).
