How to Copy Copy-Protected DVD Movies and Audio CDs with DVD43?
Strange program name DVD43 has deep meaning: it stands for "DVD for free”. DVD43 developers
made two variation of the utility. DVD43 and DVD43 Plug-in are both free DVD decrypters, but with different
applicability:
* DVD43 runs in
the background and decrypts DVDs on-the-fly.
* DVD43 Plug-in
provides an interface that DVD copy programs can use to decrypt DVDs. Note that not all
the DVD copy programs may support this plugin. Examples of the programs, which
do support the plugin are: DVD2One, WinDVD, PowerDVD, etc.
Both are so easy to
use, that anybody can do that immediately after installation. Very important
that DVD43 supports on-the-fly decryption, letting you
decrypt a DVD or CD without need
of copying
the data to your hard drive first. Simply insert a DVD or CD into your disc
drive while DVD43 is running and duplicate the disc with CD- or DVD-burning
software. Note that you have to use a burning program, supporting DVD-movie compression, if you want to copy a DVD9 movie to DVD5 media.
From ethical
perspectives, you understand that you may use this utility and a
DVD-burning program to backup your own
movie and
audio collections, and not to duplicate illegally media you do not own.
